After exiting the vehicle, you approach the front door only to notice that there’s a fancy glass bottle sitting there with no one in sight. You reach for it and out pops a Genie who after greeting you, says ..

“I can only fulfill one type of wish for you. If you could be anyone in the world, who would it be?!”

Now you’re obviously a bit startled at this point but the question is quite intriguing right?

Ask Chicago Hip Hop artist “UCOBY” the same question and you might just be shocked at his answer. That’s because most likely the response you’d hear is that he’d choose to be himself! And for good reason. “UCOBY” stands for “U Can Only Be You” and this Chicago west-side native prides himself on doing so.

Known for his thought provoking music videos, lyricism, and thirst for knowledge, UCOBY is a rare breed given the current state of Hip Hop in Chicago. After recently performing at South By South West (SXSW), one of the more popular music festivals in the nation, and signing a game changing publishing deal, it’s only a matter of time before his talents start to create enormous buzz in the music community.
