Chicagoland foodies, this one’s for you! On Tuesday, May 3, join more than 900 Chicagoans at the Sheraton Grand Chicago to sample cuisine from top local restaurants, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

Did you know that 1 in 68 children are born with autism in the US? Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disability impacting hundreds of families within our community on a daily basis. There is currently no cure for Autism Spectrum Disorder, but increasing research shows that early detection and high quality early intervention help children with autism overcome many obstacles.

What is Good Food? Chicagoans not only embrace local and sustainable food, but they also want to know as much about where their food comes from as possible. This is the idea behind the Good Food Movement, which Chicago is celebrating this weekend! Local chefs, farmers, entrepreneurs, policy makers and consumers will come together to discuss the ever-popular topic of food at The Good Food Festival & Conference, the Midwest’s largest local & sustainable food trade show.

In a couple of weeks, one of the most exciting events in Chicago is going to be held and for a great cause. The Junior Council will be hosting their 28th Annual Snowball, a black tie event hosting 2,000 young professionals for a night of dancing, drinking, eating and socializing while raising money for the Infectious Disease Clinic at the children's hospital. It's a great opportunity for networking, making new friends and supporting a cause that will give kids a chance at life when they may not have had one before. We promise this is a night you will NOT forget!

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is announcing the four nominees in each of the Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence 13 categories. New to the Awards this year is the category of Best Ethnic Restaurant and a culinary achievement award chosen by the Jean Banchet Panel.
