BTN Live Broadcast Ignites City as Hoops Tourney Tips Off

As the Windy City prepares to host the 2015 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Big Ten Network turns its spotlight on Chicago with a live broadcast for hundreds of hoops fans.

Hosted at the iconic Joe’s on Weed Street on Tuesday, March 10, and focusing on tournament play that begins the next day, Big Ten Network talent Dave Revsine, Stephen Bardo, Jim Jackson, Steve Smith and Shon Morris host BTN Live from 5-7 PM CT.

The group will preview the Big Ten Tournament and relive its greatest moments with notable

guests. Invited guests include:

Jerry Colangelo, managing director and chairman of USA Basketball*

Jimmy King, Michigan guard from 1992-95 and member of the Fab Five

Sean Mason, a Chicago native and Wisconsin standout

Deon Thomas, Illinois’ all-time leading scorer

Spencer Tollackson, Gopher great and current radio analyst for Minnesota basketball

Tickets are free and available here for this special night out for Big Ten fans. Guests must show a ticket to enter. Doors open at 4:30 PM at Joe’s on Weed Street (940 W. Weed Street) in Chicago.

At the event, we invite fans to register for the fourth annual BTN Big 10K, one of Chicago’s most popular summer road races that turns the lakefront into a Big Ten tailgate party. The race, available in 10K and 5K distances, returns to Soldier Field on Saturday, July 25, with Special Olympics Chicago once again being the event’s official nonprofit partner.
