SOS Children’s Villages Illinois CHANGES LIVES by providing a unique alternative to traditional foster care – keeping siblings together in loving foster families in a Village that offers support, compassion and strength.  In support of each child in our care, we invite you to walk the red carpet for Evening of Hope 2014, a “Golden Age of Hollywood”-themed event on Thursday, October 23^rd from 6pm to 10pm at the beautiful Venue One (1044 W. Randolph, Chicago, IL).

Join us for BIG BAND and SWING music, Hollywood-inspired cocktails, small-batch wine and craft beer, local cuisine and vintage-style décor. Delicious indulgences will be provided by Lagunitas beer, Hershey’s Chicago desserts, Macallan and more. Miss Illinois 2014, Marisa Buchheit, will make a guest appearance and sing the National Anthem. All proceeds from the event will benefit the more than 450 children and families we serve each year. Recognized in 2012 as one of 15 “Gold Standard” charities by Chicago Magazine, SOS Children’s Villages of Illinois has made an immense impact on the lives of thousands of children in Illinois and, in 2013, we successfully helped 100% of our children graduate high school. With growing community need and a successful approach, SOS will be expanding with a new Village opening in October, 2014 in Roosevelt Square.
