Master mixologist class & Taste the Tropics Challenge 2010!

Tony Abou-Ganim, one of the nation’s most distinguished mixologists of all time, is returning to chicago after we judged the “star of the bar” contest at the national restaurant show (pic above), to conduct a very special 2 hour training session that is open to all Chicago bartenders, and to host the Taste the Tropics Challenge!

The challenge will begin with twelve pre-selected competing bartenders going head to head in the “mix-off” w/ an original recipe containing no more than seven ingredients- two of them being Coco Lopez cream of coconut & a rum from the Bacardi portofolio.  They will then present their drinks to a panel & three will compete in the second round with a secret ingredient.  The winner will participate in a nationwide grand finale in Miami, Florida.
