I’m Kimberly Eberl, President of Motion PR, one of Chicago’s leading full-service communications agencies. As the PR pro behind news headlines, big name clients like Red Bull and CTCA at Midwestern, and some of the city’s must-attend events, I’m excited to announce an upcoming event very close to my heart.

On Thursday, April 11 from 6-9 p.m. at Municipal Bar + Dining Company, Motion PR is hosting its first annual MS in Motion, an event to benefit the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. My father Paul Eberl (pictured with me in the photo above) was diagnosed with MS in his 20’s and has been an ongoing source of inspiration as he perseveres through adversity and shows more spirit than most without such afflictions. His illness influenced my involvement with our local MS Society chapter, and MS in Motion is my way of giving back to the nearly 20,000 Illinoisans affected by the disease.

I welcome the friends, family and supporters of those with MS to join me because every small contribution has the potential to make a big difference in the lives of those afflicted. With an all-inclusive $35 wristband purchase, guests can enjoy passed appetizers as well as wine, beer and wells drinks contributed by Red Bull, Chicago Beverage Systems, Jameson and Absolut. Additionally, VIP private tables for up to 7 people are available with $100 purchase and with the support of local businesses, attendees will have the chance to win some great prizes with $5 raffle ticket purchases. The sweet swag and coveted winnings include donations from organizations like: Municipal Bar + Dining CompanyRed BullChicago Wine RiotTimeLine Theatre CompanyDiag Bar & GrillGelatiMott 50Gordon SalonSchubas TavernAllegory PensCusp ConferencePizzeria SerioTransform Personal TrainingRiver East Chiropractic Health CenterBoston Blackie’sGramma GoodSpark Living and Lynfred Winery.

Can’t make it to MS in Motion? No problem! You can donate directly here. It’s my hope that with MS in Motion, we can raise awareness, drive   donations to the cause, and ultimately, find a cure. While this year Mayor Rahm Emanuel declared March MS Awareness Month for Chicago, those afflicted with MS need support year-round, so mark your calendars for April 11 and raise a glass in honor of a great cause.
