NEPAL NOW: Help Chinese Mutual Aid Association Help Nepal

An urgent fundraiser in conjunction with Asian & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month which is hosted & provided by MillerCoors 

Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA), local Chicagoland professional organizations along with the generous support of host MillerCoors, is holding a fundraiser to raise money for Nepal’s relief & rebuilding efforts after two earthquakes have claimed over 8,500 lives, displaced thousands of Nepalese people & have destroyed Nepal’s infrastructure inclulding schools & hospitals.

Twenty dollars ($20) is the requested minimum per person donation to attend the fundraiser at MillerCoors, and online donations are through the American Red Cross’ Crowdrise page (select last option of Nepal earthquake relief) where 100% of your donation goes directly to the American Red Cross for their work in Nepal; Crowdrise charges a $2.00 processing fee, so your overall donation would be $22.00. CMAA itself will be donating $1,000 to the fundraising efforts.

Enjoy MillerCoors products, hors d’oeuvres and an amazing experience at MillerCoors’ corporate pub & rooftop patio, provided by MillerCoors while we collectively raise much needed funds for Nepal. We will also recognize Asian & Pacific Islander American Heritage Month and the contributions of Asian & Pacific Islander Americans and people of all ethnic backgrounds as collectively we all make a positive impact in different Chicagoland communities.

CMAA, a 501 (c)(3) pan-Asian social services non-profit with Nepali employees, serves local Chicagoland Nepalese people as well as people from all ethnic backgrounds & generations through CMAA’s various agency services. As this tragedy has personally touched the CMAA family, we hope you can join us and make a donation whether or not you can attend the Thursday, May 28th event.
