Are you a fan of old school chicago blues, but would like to know, enjoy & support equally important new school blues talent, that will have heavy impact keeping the genre alive for generations to come?!

The Chicago Blues Beautillion is making it easier by taking new up and coming artists in the Blues world, and pairing them with established, successful musicians, music industry types, radio personalities and managers.

Since the realm of Blues music is smaller than that of pop or rock and roll, it’s easier to help unknown artists try to find their voices and proper paths to take when trying to get their gifts out there for people to hear. Head of cbb, mr. Makalani states; “The business community surrounding the blues industry, including radio hosts and programmers, club owners, blues societies and record labels are coming to recognize the passionate need to support and cultivate new blues talent in Chicago and begin to challenge established ways of thinking about this sometimes over-looked music genre.”

The Chicago Blues Beautillion includes some Blues powerhouses such as 17-year local phenom, Will Jacobs who represented Chicago at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in the youth division, and had a place in several local blues spots and had a featured spot in this years’ Bluesfest and Tommy McCracken has had longstanding residencies at Kingston Mines, B.L.U.E.S. and has been an opener at Buddy Guy’s Legends since its original opening.

If you’re interested in hearing more about Makalani’s endeavor, are a Blues artist that could use a little help or an experienced musician that thinks they could offer some help, then head out to Rosa’s Lounge – 3420 W Armitage on Tuesday, September 21st at 7pm!
