In my mind, “holiday” is synonymous with melt-in-your-mouth treats.  You know the kind I’m talking about… bites of buttery, sugary, sticky goodness.  From gingerbread cookies to snowballs to French macaroons, baking (and enjoying) delicious delicacies is definitely at of the top of my Christmas list.

So, you can imagine my excitement when I learned that on December 17th some of the best pâtissiers in the city would be preparing baked holiday goods for ME.  Ok, not just for me, but for all of those with a sweet tooth like (and including) mine.

Hosted by Steven Dolinsky of ABC7 along with Chef Greg Biggers & Pastry Chef Leigh Omilinsky of Café des Architects, the Holiday Rock & Roll bash will feature a friendly pastry competition between local critically acclaimed chefs, such as Thomas Raquel of Arcadia, Nate Meads of RM Champagne Salon, Meg Galus of NoMI, Dana Cree of Blackbird, Amanda Rockman of Balena, Elissa Narow of Perennial Virant, Cindy Schuman of Sepia, Chris Curren of Stout Barrel House & Galley, and more!

The cooks will create their own modern interpretation of the classic French holiday dessert Bûche de Noël, and WE will judge whose rendition is best.  That’s right, for the bargain price of $35 you can both indulge in mouthwatering masterpieces only top chefs can craft and actually watch the unique treats come to life.

You’ll also enjoy savory bites, delicious drinks, and live holiday music from Rod Tuffcurls & the Bench Press.

The best part?  Your presence will benefit Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day.
