Calling all fitness fans – You’re invited to gather a team of 10 to participate in the Row Raiser, a fitness-based fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics.

The Row Raiser involves teams of 10 pulling on a row machine the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles) in the shortest amount of time. Awards will be given in a variety of categories. Each rower must raise $50 to participate for a team total of $500.

The first Row Raiser was held in Quincy in 2015. Organized by CrossFit athlete Sam Dancer, the first event raised $10,000 for SOILL. This year, the Row Raiser is being held in 11 locations in Illinois with the goal of raising $100,000.
