VAMPIRES VS ZOMBIES Pub Crawl

The stars are out and there’s an eerie essence in the cool night as the tension between two rivals starts to heat up. Right around Halloween, there always seems to be some type of event that allows the two to go head to head to see who the better spook is. The vampires believe that their sharp teeth and pale skin will be the best fright. Although the zombies think their guts hanging out will bring lots of terror. This rivalry has been going on for quite a while, and there is only one way to settle it…

Chicago’s Original Trolley Crawl, “Screw Cupid,” Celebrates 15 Years of Partying for Chicago’s Fun-Loving Singles This Valentine’s Day

“It all started with a big group of Durkin’s regulars; thirty single chicks, taking over the bar, yelling obscenities about Cupid, love and the men that they pretended not to care about. That’s when I thought, ‘Screw Cupid,’” said Durkin’s Tavern Owner, Greg “Coach” Neal. Today, Bar1 Events celebrates 15 years of the Screw Cupid Trolley Crawl!

Drink Your Way Through History with Chicago History Museum Pub Crawls

History is not as dull as everyone though back in high school. Mainly because the Chicago History Museum is teaching you about Chicago through pub crawls. Finally! Mixing education with alcohol! Plus there are several different kinds of crawls you can go on. Let me tell you about a few of my favorites:

Zombie Chicago Bar Crawl. Say what?

What is it about zombies and vampires that people just cannot seem to get enough of!? I mean come on with all the different series and movies how can you even keep track, and besides the movie Zombieland, which was phenomenal by the way, don’t they all just blend together by now? Hat’s off to the Twilight guy who makes my pale looks even that more appealing… but if I have to side with one group or the other, I’m picking zombies, and it appears a ton of other Chicagoans tend to agree. The craze is here to stay as pH Productions is hosting their 5th annual Zombie Pub crawl this weekend, inviting all the half dead to help terrorize the Andersonville neighborhood all in good fun and to benefit the non for profit Theater Company.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Bar Crawl!

I’m sure most of you have seen the infamous 1980’s film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and what better way to relive this film than with a bar crawl, themed to Ferris Bueller’s iconic day of hooky! This Sunday, July 24th is the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Bar Crawl. Participants will travel throughout the city, visiting landmarks that Ferris himself visited and be able to lean their heads against the Willis Tower Skydeck, attend a Cubs game, and even partake in some karaoke just as Ferris Bueller did. Unfortunately, the karaoke session will not take place on float during a parade through the streets of Chicago, but some “Danke Schoen and Twist and Shout” are highly encouraged.
