Chicago Welcomes Indie Spirit’s Expo With Open Mouths and Arms!

On the third day of October, The Chicago River will run shaded with multitudes of independent whiskey, rum, tequila, mezcal, cognac and vodka alike. The masses with gather with intense expectations of world-renowned spirit’s that entice taste buds and blur vision of all who participate.

In less eloquent terms…The Independent Spirit’s Expo is coming to Chicago on October 3rd with extensive varieties of small batch, unique and artisanal spirits from around the world that will get you tipsy and make your mouth smile. Either way you put it, it sounds like a freaking amazing time. Who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by some of the best distilleries known to man? The taste testing will be plentiful thanks to the 94 very generous spirit exhibitors excited to show Chicago their unique tastes!

Brands such as Bluecoat, Piedmont Distillers, Inc. and Boca Loca Cachaca will be in attendance, but like I said almost 100 different vendors will be at your service!

For only 55 bucks, there is honestly no excuse to miss this event (especially if you are an alcohol enthusiast… I mean, isn’t it your sworn duty then?)

Lookingglass' Madhatter's Ball to Support Art & Theatre in Chicago!

Lookingglass theatre was formed over 20 years ago by a group of local college kids. 15 yrs ago I became best friends w/ two members randomly, Joey Slotnick and David Schwimmer, who introduced me to the group, and I fell in love w/ it immediately. So much that about 10yrs ago I founded the lookingglass Junior Board to get young professionals involved, where joey, david & I began to host great parties for them called the madhatters ball to benefit the theatre and their children’s programs! (See video above!)

This year madhatters ball happens thursday night 6/24 and has a whole new spin on it! The junior board has grown so much and so strong in the last decade, that they are taking it by the horns and producing this amazing event all on their own, which means I get to join you all for the fun and come as a fellow guest to party!

The night starts w/a performance of Lookingglass Alice at the theatre, rolling into a party at the ritz carlton, wrapping w/an after-party at The Underground w/ one of my favorite djs in the world, dj irie!  Tickets and more info can be found at lookingglasstheatre.org
