Midwest Halloween Massive Freaky Deaky

Freak Deaky takes place Halloween weekend outside the city at Toyota Park, home to Chicago Fire Soccer. With 3 themed ‘Scary Stages’ hosted by some of the greatest electronic talent, as well as over 75 plus artists, the musical talent is terrifyingly extensive! Jam bands, trance, underground house and even rap; music lovers can get all their sweet-sounding treats under one roof.

New Logan Square Music Spot: Concord Music Hall!

Concord Music Hall officially opened August 17th, with Gogol Bordello, a Gypsy Punk Band from the lower-east side of Manhattan, to help make its debut. Located at 2047 N. Milwaukee Ave. the 700-1600 capacity of Concord is hoping to bring large acts from all different kinds of genres back into the Wicker Park and Logan Square area.

4th Annual Winter Block Party For Chicagos Hip Hop Arts

On January 21st from 12 pm to 6 pm the 4th Annual Winter Block Party for Chicago’s Hip-Hop Arts is going down for FREE at the Metro! Thousands of people attended WBEZ 91.5’s Off Air Events Series last year and 2012 will be no different. This free party will feature graffiti galleries, breakdancing performances, a film screening of “The People Speak”, and the best music by some of Chicago’s BEST DJ’s. The list of fun & free things to do goes on and on but what caught my eye was the Emcee Olympics hosted by Urban Music & Hip-Hop Barbershop!!
