What better way to spend this Wednesday evening than hanging out at one of Chicago’s iconic ballparks while honoring our Police and Firefighters and supporting some amazing charities?

On July 29th, the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority hosts the 16th Annual CPD Finest vs CFD Bravest Charity Baseball Game at US Cellular Field. The game opens with a touching tribute to Chicago’s fallen Officers and Firefighters.

The game is a true citywide charity event. The primary beneficiaries are the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and The Gold Badge Society. Other local charities are encouraged to sell blocks of tickets to as their own fundraiser and send their friends and family to the game.

I’ve been involved on the committee running this game for many years and love being part of it. For me, the opening ceremony is very moving and there is a great energy about the entire event. It’s a fun evening and volunteering is my way of saying thank you to the men and women who protect our City and watch out for all of us.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for a $5 donation at Chicago Police Memorial Foundation or for $10 at the door on Wednesday, July 29th. Gates open at 5:30 pm and the game is at 7:00 pm. For information about charity blocks or to be part of this for next year, please email me directly. I hope to see you on Wednesday night!
