Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is hosting its largest annual Bear Tie Ball to date! This year marks 20 years as the foundation devoted to eliminating pediatric cancer, as well as providing support and resources to those affected. The ball will take place March 9th at 6pm, at the UIC forum.  Guests can dance, dine, and participate in auctions throughout the night, and will be given the chance to hear eight year old honorary Bear Hug Ambassador Theo Yianas share his story of strength.This annual event is Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundations’ largest fundraising event, typically attracting over 800 individuals, dedicated to philanthropy and creating a positive impact on children inflicted with pediatric cancer. This year’s event, “Passion with a Purpose” includes dinner, cocktails, dancing, auctions, award ceremonies and speakers from the Foundation and children that BNPC serves.

The Bear Necessities Bear Hugs Program supports patients affected by cancer (ages 0-19) and their immediate families. The Bear Hugs Program’s outreach serves in state and out for children that are being treated at one of the major nine Chicago hospitals with pediatric oncology departments. The Bear Hugs Program also serves to provide financial support and essential needs for immediate family members of patients.

Black tie and purple finery encouraged! Tickets are $325 each and can be purchased on the website.
