The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is announcing the four nominees in each of the Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence 13 categories. New to the Awards this year is the category of Best Ethnic Restaurant and a culinary achievement award chosen by the Jean Banchet Panel.

My name is Arturo Gomez and I am the President of Rockit Ranch Productions. Having been with the company since its inception, The Grinch party at our nightclub venue, The Underground, is by far one of my favorites. On Friday, December 4th, 2015 and for the 8th consecutive year, The Underground will be transformed into Dr. Seuss’ classic Whoville.

Calling all Chicago foodies!!! My name is Randell Golman, I am 28 years old and just recently moved back home to the best city (Chicago obviously) after four years in New York City where I was producing television shows for VH1. I am helping promote a very exciting night in Chicago devoted to finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, while enjoying bites from some of Chicago’s award winning restaurants and sipping on cocktails from the best mixologists in town.

Fasten your seatbelts for an exciting journey through Argentina without even leaving the comfort of Chicago! How is this possible, you ask? Team One Step is taking guests on a virtual tour of the country with its signature FLIGHT event that will explore the food, music and overall culture of Argentina all while supporting a good cause to help send kids with cancer to camps.

Calling all noodle and cheese enthusiast! Forget the Kraft mac and cheese, this fest will change everything you know about the beloved dairy and carb combo. Come down to the UIC Forum and experience Mac and Cheese on a new level.

Just after dusk this Friday, October 16th, follow the illuminated silhouette of four figures flying through the sky. They’re off to Neverland and you can go, too!

Put on your pink and help finish the fight against Breast Cancer! Head out to Soldier Field on Saturday October 24th to walk and raise funds for the American Cancer Society Making Strides of Chicago! Each step of the 5K is a step in the direction of better education, awareness, and a world with more birthdays. You won’t be alone whether you want to walk as a team or as an individual. Everyone will be there to show support for survivors, those currently fighting, and those affected by breast cancer in any way.
