Chicago Ideas Week is fast approaching. Described as “100 Speakers. 7 Days. 1 Electrified City,” Chicago will be hosting a multitude of great thinkers during October 10 – 16. Each topic and event will be focused on trying to “create an ecosystem of innovation, exploration, and intellectual recreation.” Created by Groupon cofounder Brad Keywell, “[he] saw a need for a great platform in the Midwest that helps connect thinkers and doers.”

Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak, as well as Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Mitch Lowe, Thomas L. Friedman, and many more. The subjects explored include everything from baseball to social entrepreneurship. With Chicago becoming a major producer of ideas, having an entire week dedicated to the cause is excellent.

The line-up is available at http://www.chicagoideas.com/events/, where each day is organized by date and time. There are plenty of talks and demonstrations to attend, but here are a few that jumped out:

– AQUAPONICS AT THE PLANT: 10/10/11 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, featuring The Plant and 312 Aquaponics.

– MEGATALK: 10/11/11 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, featuring Brad Keywell, Suze Orman, Gary White, and more.

Don’t miss out. Register here for tickets. And heads up, our CEO, Billy Dec will be giving away a few tix so be sure to connect with him on facebook & twitter!
