going green is all the buzz these days, but did you know chicago has been at the forefront of all cities in the going green movement by blazing new trails w/ organizations fueled by locals like gateway green who for example started greening our city over 25yrs ago?

Being a longtime supporter, I had the honor of being asked to host their major annual fundraiser “the green tie ball” almost a decade ago w/my co-chair julie clarke. We along w/an amazing committee of dozens of active young professionals drew in of over 3000 people to a themed event we created around the world’s fair where we dropped a real ferris wheel in the middle of finkl steel plant- amazing!

Every year is special w/Chicago’s best restaurants, entertainment, and venues (see video above for some of the highlights) all coming together to make the green tie ball of Chicago’s biggest & most dynamic fundraisers around!.. this year they are holding an exclusive preview party to unveil the theme, venue, and share details for Chicago Gateway Green’s 25th anniversary in 2011, and you are invited to be a part of it all.

To entice you all to jump in and get involved, guests of the party will enjoy specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and dance the night away with some of Chicago’s best DJs.  It will be held at The Underground on Friday, November 12 from 8-10p.  For tickets, visit: www.gatewaygreen.org with all proceeds benefiting Chicago Gateway Green!
