This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, a yearly celebration to promote environmental awareness and to help nurture and support the health of our planet. There are so many simple, quick and surprisingly impactful ways you can do your part in helping save the place we all call home. From conserving energy by just turning off a light switch, turning your thermostat down only a few degrees, there are countless ways that everyone can partake in,.. If interested in getting out tonight and meeting people that are equally conscientious of being green, local Chicagoan, Steve Green, is hosting his 3rd Annual Earth Day event “Green Your Footprint” at Chicago newest LEED Certified residential building, Flair Tower on Erie tonight from 6-8pm. There you can enjoy eats from five different restaurants, eco friendly drinks, and the best music from the past 40 years. You will also be able to learn more about decreasing your carbon footprint on the earth and Ginger Zee will be leading an educational discussion.
