Have you ever had the feeling you were missing half of the story? Keep Moving Forward started out as a documentary about a Vietnam veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) until Brent Bandemer, a Columbia College Chicago alumni, discovered his infatuation after “friending” him on Facebook.

KSKMF

Keep Moving Forward is a documentary about Chicago-born Vietnam veteran and Columbia College alumni, Guy Spagnoli, and how he goes to battle against his PTSD with the army of Disney.

This story is being filmed and produced in Chicago and surrounding areas by Brent Bandemer (editor/director) and Emily Strong (producer). The two of them began working on Keep Moving Forward during their internship in the Fall of 2014 at the documentary powerhouse in town, Kartemquin Films (Hoop Dreams, Life Itself, The Interrupters), and have continued working on it persistently ever since. They are currently in the middle of a Kickstarter Campaign and are looking to the city shockingly ranked number 99 out of 100 in Wallethub’s 2014 in-depth study on Best and Worst Cities for Veterans to live in to join them in the fight to get the message out that veterans in our city need our immediate help.

Rewards created for the campaign were designed to invite the backer to join the #KMFdoc Team and become intimately involved behind the scenes with the process along with other one-of-a-kind Disney and veteran inspired gifts.

If YOU feel inspired, please share this campaign with a friend or consider Donating to Keep Moving Forward.
