Hey comedy lovers! This is Rasa Gierstikas from the Shit Show comedy showcase. My co-producer/ host, Ever Mainard and I are excited to tell you that our comedy show, the Shit Show, is going to be a part of TBS’s Just for Laughs here in Chicago on Tuesday, June 11 at 10pm at Stage 773 (1225 W Belmont Ave). Tickets are only $15 and are on sale now.

I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE watching the Food Network…specifically competition shows like Chopped and Iron Chef!! To me there is nothing better than watching people create something delicious out of unknown ingredients… which is why I am super, pumped for this year’s Key Ingredient Cook-Off: A Festival of Culinary Curiosities.

Hi, this is Rasa Gierstikas from the planet Earth and I'm here to tell you about The Shit Show comedy showcase. The Shit Show is “Chicago’s Premiere FREE Monthly Comedy Showcase” that is held the LAST Friday of every month at 8pm at The Shambles! Local comic Ever Mainard and I host/ produce a comedy variety show the last Friday of every month that includes emerging local comics to seasoned performers who have appeared on David Letterman, B.E.T., etc. Prizes are given to audience members, as well as, performers with the night’s “Best Joke!” by The Shit Show’s very own Hotdog Man (Keith Paesel) -winners determined by the audience.

When I picked up the Chicago Reader "Best of Chicago" Edition, I was shocked & honored that I won “Best Person to Follow on Twitter!” I truly appreciate all of you for showing interest in what I do behind the scenes in the entertainment & hospitality biz, giving me feedback & advice, and coming out to enjoy the fun!

I woke up at 5am this morning for a BIG press day with Billy. We had to do 5 radio shows, a live tv show & a PSA all in 5 hours when he literally just stepped off a plane from France, Hungary, and Austria 12 hours prior. When he initially told me about how much press he wanted to do BEFORE he was live on Windy City Live- I thought it was absurd, but in all the time I have known him, I can say he pushes himself to work beyond what most people think is feasible. The main purpose behind all this press was to talk about two events that are the very important to him to support art & theatre in Chicago & raise scholarships for kids - The Madhatter's Ball & The Piven Theatre Gala.
