When’s the last time you did something creative? Unless you work as an artist, its probably been a long time.

Tipsy Paint is where entertainment is an art form. It’s a social spin on classic painting classes. They supply the canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, aprons and other art materials. You supply the fun, food and beverages! Tipsy Paint is perfect for a date night, bachelorette parties, wedding and baby showers, birthday parties, fundraisers and many other fun day or night outings.

The studio, founded by Hap Proesel, is located in Glenview, which is just about 20 minutes north of Chicago.

Anyone can choose from a variety of classes, which include:

  • Social Painting – Held nightly, professional artists offer step-by-step painting instruction.
  • Open Studio- Both supervised and unsupervised classes are offered, as indicated on the Tipsy Paint Calendar.
  • Private Events- Tipsy Paint will create memories for any occasion.
  • Corporate Events- The perfect team-building exercise.
  • Tipsy Kids- Led by experienced instructors great for kids aged 3 through 12.
  • Technique Class- Traditional art class, available as weekly sessions.

“It’s incredible to see people come in here, nervous that they won’t be able to complete the painting and by the end of the class they are ready to paint another picture” said Proesel. “It really makes me feel good to watch people discover what they are capable of.”

    Good evening

Can you post this to the A Chicago Thing home page and/or through a social media entry on Facebook or Twitter? Or, can you point me in the right direction at the site and with What’s on Dec?

It is in regards to a creative fundraiser for our furry friends and the The Anti-Cruelty Society here in Chicago at Scoozi (410 W Huron – River North) and Bottle & Bottega (five Chicagoland locations – Lakeview and South Loop in the city) have teamed up to host “Paint Your Pet.”

This Monday, June 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., participants will have photos of their pets pinned to their easels as Bottle & Bottega artists provide guidance to all in attendance who are painting pictures of their pets on canvas.

The visuals at this event will be outstanding!

We can send photos, or I hope you can assign a reporter and/or photographer to cover it.

In advance of it, I can connect you with Stephanie King-Myers, co-owner of Chicago-based Bottle & Bottega, to put a unique perspective on potential coverage. She can provide the personal and emotional account of just how meaningful this event is for the hosts and of course the Anti-Cruelty Society.
