UniverSoul Circus Fuses Pop Culture & International Performances for Exhilarating Union Park Premiere

I’m Cedric Walker, founder of UniverSoul Circus, the third largest circus in the nation. Back again in a city famous for its historic entertainment industry, I could not be happier to be welcoming Chicagoans to once again join in on all the excitement our bigger than ever, expanded, unexpected tour has to offer. 19 years ago, I set out with a vision to explore and share the various talents of performers from around the world to create one-of-a-kind family entertainment with UniverSoul Circus. Having previously produced rap festivals with legendary rappers like Run DMC and Salt n Peppa, I set out to incorporate hip-hop and pop music into traditional circus acts, uniting hand-selected talents from across the globe to create a spectacular and contemporary show.

Today, UniverSoul Circus offers over 500 shows in 43 major markets and is excited to invite the Chicagoland area to our first-ever big top stop in Union Park in hopes to astound the West Loop and appeal to a multigenerational, multicultural audience with an unparalleled cast.  Our show incorporates a highly interactive combination of circus arts, theater, and music that spans genres including Pop, Classic R&B, Latin, Hip Hop, Jazz and Gospel. It embraces and celebrates the unique and familiar aspects of pop culture globally by bringing them center stage with a cast of international performers and awe-inspiring routines. With a cast of vibrant, A-list performers who are eager to show Chicagoans what an unexpected circus means, we can’t wait for you all to see our head-turning acts such as ice skating, tightrope walking, Caribbean dancing, aerialists, acrobatics, quick-change artists, tigers and elephants all under one big top tent.
