Emmy Award Winner Jeremy Piven and I made this fun little video while i was on the set of hbo’s “entourage” playing the role of one of ari gold’s agents! And it’s about how you can get on the show too! So check it out and spread the word!

As for our event this Saturday night, its always a blast! we have been hosting it together for 7 years many times joined by Piven Theatre Workshop Alums like john cusack, kate walsh, aidan quinn, and so many more…

The main event at rockit bar & grill from 6p-10p is a must for mingling w/ your hosts, enjoying all the amazing guests, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, music, fun, silent/live auction (including the “entourage” walk-on!)… and so much more! The best part is, as the video explains, it all goes to help kids excel in art & theatre!

And for the late night party crowd, the vip after party at the underground is always a blast too! It doesn’t have the whole package included above that usually sells out first, but it’s only a $20 donation at the door. (lil advice though, space limited, so plan on coming right at 9pm if want in… for table/bottle service contact bo@rockitranch.com ).

Chicago 2016 Celebrates Olympic Day – June 23

Chicago 2016 bid committee, Olympians, Paralympians and volunteers

What:

Tuesday, June 23, Chicago 2016 will be holding several events to celebrate Olympic Day. Olympic Day, which was first held on June 23, 1894, commemorates the day French educator Baron Pierre de Coubertin began to revive the Olympic Games and also marks the formation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Youth Fun Runs

What: Chicago 2016 is hosting Fun Runs for 30,000 youth in various Chicago parks.  Olympians Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Michael Conley, as well as Paralympian April Holmes, will participate in the event. Media are invited to attend a short speaking program and cheer on 750 kids participating in the Washington Park Fun Run. 

When: 10:00 AM

Where: Washington Park (Across from Armory)

Two 3-Mile Fun Runs

What: Two 3-Mile Fun Runs for all abilities will be a part of the Olympic Day celebrations.  Both Fun Runs will end at North Avenue Beach, where a special celebration will be taking place. Olympic and Paralympic athletes, including Gary Morgan, Jason Wening, Mike Day and Patrick Byrne, will participate in the Fun Runs. Participants are encouraged to sign up for the run at www.chicago2016.org/olympicday.

When: 6:00 PM

Where: The Near North Fun Run will begin at Irving Park & Lake Shore Path.  The Downtown (South) Fun Run will begin at Balbo Drive & Lake Shore Path (across from Grant Park). 

Celebration at North Avenue Beach

What: North Avenue Beach will host a multisport extravaganza in honor of Olympic Day. In addition to serving as the finish line for two 3-mile Fun Runs, the beach will host competitions in several Olympic and Paralympic sports, including beach volleyball, basketball, wheelchair basketball, soccer and fencing. Other sports will also be represented, including softball.

The celebration will be capped off by an Olympic Day concert on the beach featuring Elevation and the Freddy Jones Band. Olympic and Paralympic athletes, including April Holmes, Michael Conley, John Vande Velde, Rowdy Gaines, Carli Lloyd and Paul Hamm will be in attendance.

When: Tuesday, June 23^, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Where: North Avenue Beach

Olympic Day at Chicago White Sox-Los Angeles Dodgers Game

What: Olympians/Paralympians and bid representatives will be on-site at the stadium celebrating Olympic Day.  Jackie Joyner Kersee will throw out the first pitch.

When: Tuesday, June 23^, at 7:11 PM

Where: U.S. Cellular Field
