Chicago Band Sources International Talent for Music Video

For the first official video from the second Cooler by the Lake studio LP, Summer’s Over, bandleader Rory Lake tapped talent exclusively from the website Fiverr.com. “Not Innocent” features seventeen strange and wonderful people from around the globe – from Sri Lanka to Jamaica and from India to Canada.

Fiverr is an online marketplace for small tasks that specializes in services offered for $5 each. Millions of people from around the world have joined this “gig economy.” Lake, who produced, directed and edited the video, paid a total of $85(US) for talent sourced exclusively from the website.

Cooler by the Lake is a nine-person ensemble fronted by Lake, president of Rory Lake Presents and host of Karaoke Dreams.
