Hello, Chicago! Liz Chidester of LIZ AND THE LOVELIES here to tell you what is going on with music, open mics, theatre, and podcasts in Chicago!

First off, you have to come out to our EP release party on Tuesday, April 4th at @North Bar in Wicker Park. The party starts at 8pm with the music and comedy stylings of feminist rock star Becca Brown of School of Rock fame, followed by the chamber pop, hip hop brass of PYZOW! Liz and the Lovelies will be closing out the evening with a live performance of the new EP Progress into Simplicity. You get a free physical EP with your ticket, so come out on April 4th and rock out!

Are you frustrated with the state of our city and our world? Do you want to use your voice to do something to help? Are you an artist looking for a regular open mic? Join the Chicago Performers Collective. We are a group of artists of all mediums dedicated to meeting bi-monthly to hear new work and to donate to causes we believe in. Please join us at The Den Theatre on Monday or Tuesday nights. Like our page and see when we’ll be meeting next! We donate to a different organization every meeting, and discuss ways in which we can use our voices for good!

Our theatre/music company TITUS SHIP presents Bonnie and Clyde at Lincoln Loft running March 30th-April 22nd. Starring Marie Weigle and Cody Lucas, with music by James Abud and James Manno. You have to go see this. Not only are both of these actors powerhouses that will make you feel feelings again, but the music is going to be bananas. Every performance is Pay What You Can. No excuses! GET OUT OF YOUR APARTMENT, CHICAGO!

You don’t even have to leave your apartment to listen to The Zach and Tony Show podcast, cranking out conversations about the things that matter by two people who don’t, coming to you NOT LIVE from Mom’s Basement Studios. Also check out their hilarious One Man, Two Beers, Three Questions Webcast every week, interviewing Chicago’s finest artists, all sponsored by the Chicago rock band Man Called Noon. Don’t work too hard. Don’t stop working.

Spring is on its way.

<3 Liz
