Hey all- Amanda Weir here, Billy’s intern, posting this story on an amazing Charity event next week:

April is the month of red! Chicago’s First Annual Red Dress Party is a national event that draws over 800 to create awareness and visibility for dedicated research and care of HIV patients. The Chicago Red is honored to have the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Equality Project as the official beneficiaries-BUT! There is one requirement- ALL MUST WEAR RED! Everyone is encouraged to attend wearing a red dress- men are invited to join in the fun!

AFC was founded in 1985 by activists and physicians to develop and improve services, fund and coordinate prevention, care, advocacy projects and champion, compassionate policies. Equality Project was founded in 2008 to create social interactions that focus on advocacy. In 2009, they relocated to Chicago. EQPR is proud to have helped organizations and individuals including Equal Rights Washington, Gay City Health Project and State Senator Ed Murray.

The Red Dress Party takes place April 16, 2011 from 8:30 p.m.- 2:00 am at 525 W Monroe Street. Tickets for VIP Exclusives are $1000, VIP- $150 and General Admission are $80
