Hi there! My name is Chikoo Patel, an investor turned entrepreneur pursuing my passion for fine dining alongside my fellow friend and foodie Max Mora , Chef. With Under the Table, our newest entrepreneurial business venture in full swing, I’m thrilled to announce an upcoming event to bring a communal dining experience and innovative twists on everyday fare to local Chicagoans.

On Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, Under the Table, the newest pop-up restaurant to hit Chicago, will open its doors for brunch (at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.) and dinner (at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.) at Company, Evanston, 1307 Chicago Ave., Evanston, Illinois 60201. The menu features one-of-a-kind creations such as pancakes (candied bacon/blackberry/banana cinnamon butter), lobster rolls (corn/ash), and BLTs (pork belly/pico de gallo/egg/green tomato).


The five-course meal is an exploration of where contemporary cuisine and art cross paths, offering an experience for new friends to indulge in delicious, unique food. Mixing classical cuisine with modernist influences, guests will enjoy fine dining at an affordable price. All meals begin at a set time and all guests receive each course simultaneously as the chef behind the inspiration describes the dish.

With only 20 seats open for each available time slot, food fanatics and hungry locals will need to act fast to snag tickets. Tickets ($35, brunch and $55, dinner) can be purchased up to 48 hours prior to the event. Can’t make it this weekend? No problem. We will periodically be hosting additional events and shake things up with new menu items and must-eat pairings. I hope to see you soon!
